Suburban Hockey manages and operates five hockey clubs: Rochester Hockey Club, Royal Oak Hockey Club, Macomb Hockey Club and HoneyBaked Hockey Club. Additionally, all youth and adult hockey programming for all Suburban Ice facilities, Novi Ice Arena and John Lindell Ice Arena in Royal Oak falls under the Suburban Hockey umbrella, as well.
The SHS experience has stood the test of time, nearly 50 years in the making. Past and present directors, coaches and trainers have all played major roles in developing programs that have provided wonderful hockey experiences for tens of thousands of hockey players. All trainers are carefully selected and participate in intensive training seminars to ensure every class will meet your expectations.
The Suburban Skating School was established in 2020 as all Suburban-managed facilities combined forces as one team to create a unified Learn to Skate program – officially recognized as the largest in the entire United States. The Suburban Skating School provides nationally recognized Learn to Skate programming within our communities in a professional, inclusive and safe environment.
The Suburban Hockey Foundation contributes to the growth of hockey in Michigan by providing financial support and assistance to hockey families and programs in need.
One of the most prominent Tier 1 programs in North America, the HoneyBaked Hockey Club is committed to providing a world-class developmental and competitive hockey experience that emphasizes individual player and team skills, physical and mental training, conceptual development, nutritional awareness, elite competition and respect for the athletes and sport. Over 100 HoneyBaked alumni have advanced to the NCAA and NHL ranks.
